@davido1975 @hiccupps Possibly even standards. Like how you can put paper into your printer, when the paper's made by one company and the printer by another, and IT JUST WORKS?!
@bobsalmon @davido1975 it would be lovely to think so... I can say that the spec for the new one did tell me the distance from spindle to keyhole was the size I needed so I think there's probably some standard or convention around compatibility with latch and lock mechanisms.
